Corn Bread Muffins with Cheddar Cheese

I'm kind of picky about my cornbread. I don't like the sweet jiffy cornbread mix type so tried improvising off the recipe a generic corn meal bag.  The standard recipe plus some salt, pepper and cheddar cheese was just what I wanted.

Ingredients
Self Rising Corn Meal 
1 egg
1.5 cups milk 
salt and pepper 
no sugar (or very light, Glenn dislikes sweet cornbread)
half a cup sharp cheddar cheese

Bake in small (Glenn likes crispy) muffin pan 425 for 15min
